Q: What inspired you to start SANIC and what is it that you sell?
A: I have always felt a pull towards entrepreneurship, but I wasn't sure what or how. My father, who had been in the mattress retail industry for years, was playing around with a bed cleaning powder prototype. He had a lot of other business requiring his attention so I asked if I could have the prototype as he was not focused on it. I did some of my own research on the product and realised what wonderful properties and benefits it had. I believed in it and knew it was missing in the retail market. I had found my entrepreneurial venture.
Q: How many fragrances do you have and what are they called?
A: We have 4.
1. Field Fresh- our original product
2. Floral fresh
3. Baby Fresh
4. Pet Fresh- our pet bed powder with anti tick and flea
Q: What are some common misconceptions about cleaning mattresses and upholstery that you'd like to debunk?
A: A lot of people don’t think about cleaning their mattress at all. People will stare at me blankly when I ask when last they cleaned their mattress. A mattress DOES need to be cleaned, inspected and cared for because we keep these items in our house for 10 years plus. Steam cleaning is one option BUT only if you are certain the mattress will fully dry. Moisture is your mattress’s enemy, it could cause mites to breed, and bacteria or mould to grow. That's why SANIC is a dry formula powder.
Q: Besides using SANIC on one’s mattress, can it be used anywhere else?
A: It can be used in so many places like couches, carpets, pet beds. It is also great for stinky shoes or refreshing dry clean-only clothing.
Q: How do you use SANIC? Do you have any tips or hacks when using it?
A: If you are deep cleaning a problem area that is damp or smelly, be liberal with the powder, and leave it on for a 2 hours or more. For routine cleaning, follow instructions on the back of the bottle.
Q: What makes SANIC different from other cleaning powders?
A: There is nothing like SANIC! The fragrances are wonderful and the ingredients are clean, non toxic and effective unlike other products on the market.
